Rebecca Ann Wideman RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner working in the section of rheumatology since 2016. Beginning her career in nursing in 2008, Rebecca has worked in a local hospital setting providing patient care and education to Medical/Surgical patients. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Madonna University. She then earned her Medical-Surgical certification in 2012. Her surgical background was more specialized to transplant patients. She co-chaired and chaired the professional nurse council for over 4 years. Published and presented with fellow peers regarding CAPD protocol and infection rates within her department. She decided to further her education and graduated in 2016 from Oakland University with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She has a special interest in rheumatoid arthritis and began practicing rheumatology shortly thereafter. She has been a member of RNS and currently has active memberships of RHAPP, ACR, and MRS. She loves rheumatology and believes it is a hidden gem within the medical field.
